Moonlight

It shines on my pale face like a flashlight in the dark. I stand on the patched stone road frozen at the light bulb staring upon me, a river of moonlight pours amongst the road like waterfalls. It complements the darkness drowning it, smaller bursts of light surrounding it poke their heads catching a glimpse of the world where I stand. The darkness behind the moon is as black as coal and oil combined, I find myself unexpectedly sitting overwhelmed by the scene. Tick. Tock. The world goes by, day by day yet this beauty I see before me can never be beat. But this will all soon disappear.
